Cais 68 is a boutique villa above Funchal, with the whole house given to one party at a time.
Below, a mineral pool held at 30 °C (86 °F) in January as in July. It does not sting your eyes. Breakfast is included, cooked when you ask for it rather than when the kitchen opens, and the orange juice is squeezed that morning. A concierge is here at every hour.
From November to February the sun sets in front of the balconies, over the harbour.
An honesty bar with wines, beers, soft drinks and snacks. The beds are dressed in Torres Novas bed linen on hotel-grade mattresses, with three firmnesses of pillow to choose from. Sockets with USB-A and USB-C on both bedside tables, in every suite.

All I have to say is that staying here was an experience itself. Simply said, amazing. Besides the incredible villa you have, the view is gorgeous! (Extra points when you see it from the pool at the sunset!) After this holiday, I can truly say that I feel relaxed and happy. Our stay at Casa 68 was absolutely incredible! From the beautiful, comfortable villa to the exceptional service, everything exceeded our expectations.
Nelson was a phenomenal host who went above and beyond, helping us with transportation, restaurant recommendations, and every little detail. The butler was equally exceptional — incredibly kind, friendly, attentive, and always there to assist.
As an aircraft manager who travels extensively and has experienced many hotels and villas around the world, I have high expectations, and Casa 68 truly felt like a five-star hotel with the comfort and privacy of a beautiful home.
I’m not usually a big fan of Airbnb, but Casa 68 completely changed my perspective. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!
