We stayed at Nelson Place in Funchal to start our honeymoon, and it was the perfect beginning to our trip.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Nava greeted us with a glass of bubbles, which was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for a fantastic stay. She is a real credit to the experience and made us feel at home from day one.
Nelson was also incredibly welcoming and took the time to share local insights and recommendations about the island, which were invaluable during our stay.
The accommodation itself is outstanding—beautifully presented, spotless, and with all the comfort and quality you would expect from a 5-star hotel. We genuinely could not fault a thing.
The location is excellent, within walking distance of the city centre and restaurants. Yes, there is a hill on the way back, but that’s Madeira for you!

We had the pleasure of staying 4 nights in this beautiful villa. It is super stylish, immaculate and very comfortable. Our room had a spacious balcony with views to the sea. The breakfasts were delicious! We loved the location – a quiet and characterful part of town. Just a short walk to the promenade, cable car and old town with lively cafes, bars and restaurants. A special shout out to Nelson who was a fabulous host and the warm and friendly concierge, Navi, for the amazing personalised service. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Has been a suprisingly calming place with a beautiful garden and view.
The most importand part for me is the atmosphere in the house.
